Recess Club Highlights!
Did you know that our fifth graders have been leading weekly recess clubs for students?
These clubs highlight so many aspects of our school mission all while students have fun during recess! The focus of our clubs includes skills-building but also gives students opportunities for personal growth and fosters friendships across grades. Here’s a glimpse into the wonderful opportunities our students are enjoying:
Nature Club: Led by our passionate fifth graders, Nature Club offers a gateway to explore the wonders of the great outdoors. From learning about local flora and fauna to engaging in eco-friendly activities, our students are nurturing their connection with nature while fostering a love for the environment.
Art Club: Unleash your creativity with our Art Club! Guided by fifth-grade art enthusiasts, students delve into various art mediums, techniques, and styles. Whether it’s painting, drawing, or crafting, Art Club provides a space for self-expression and artistic exploration.
Sports Club: Get active and energized with our Sports Club! Led by our skilled fifth-grade athletes, students participate in friendly games, drills, and sports challenges. It’s not just about winning; it’s about teamwork, sportsmanship, and staying fit while having a blast!
Running Club: Lace up your sneakers and hit the track with Running Club! Our fifth-grade leaders are passionate about fitness and running. Students of all levels can join in for fun runs, endurance challenges, and learn valuable tips for staying healthy and active.
These recess clubs aren’t just about honing skills or exploring interests; they’re about forging connections and fostering leadership among our students. Older students shine as mentors and leaders, while younger students find role models and friends in their older peers. It’s a beautiful cycle of learning, growth, and camaraderie that truly embodies the spirit of our Hebrew Day School community.
